IoT and Quantum Crypto (A02b)
IoT security has come to fore in the last 5 years in a more pronounced manner. While the tricky issue of solving security for low powered IoT devices well on its way, Post Quantum Crypto world is threatening to upend the lot of good work gone into securing IoT devices. This talk will focus on a plausible way to IoT devices in the Post Quantum Crypto world using PQC announced by NIST as an example. It will explore how much of it can be applied to EU and its associated certifications (Cloud and assurance). The talk will also address performance compromises and adjustments to the security architecture one need to make to survive successfully wrt IoT in the Post Quantum Crypto world.
