Guntram Wicke

Guntram Wicke works as IT security analyst at Deutsche Telekom Security and leads its side channel analysis squad. He got his diploma in economics and computer science with emphasis on cryptography and data security at TU Dresden in 1996. After more than twenty five years working in the field of cryptographic implementations and twenty years evaluation and testing of security hardware and software for various customers he is convinced more than ever that secure and transparent implementation of cryptography is essential for trust into information and communication technology, and hence one of the fundaments of modern society. If time allows, he recreates with his family and follows hobbies from the areas of archeology, astronomy, mathematics, geology and historic cryptanalysis.
