Wolfgang Steinbauer

Wolfgang Steinbauer, born in 1971 in Graz, holds a master degree in electronic engineering from the Technical University in Graz. He started his professional career at Austria Microsystems (AMS) and joined Philips/NXP in 2000. Starting as system engineer working on modelling and definition of RF design requirements. Leading several developments as project and team lead.

Since 2007 Wolgang has led teams developing products for Banking, E-Government, Infrastructure and Automatic Fare Collection. Responsible for product definition, supported features, project execution and product quality. Ensure best in class products and drive for efficient and reliable product development. Interface to key customers in terms of product definition.

Since the end of 2013 he has been the head of the Crypto and Security team leading the NXP security related activities like IP development, Architecture, Vulnerability Analysis and Certification.

He is also a part time teacher at the University of Applied Sciences FH Joanneum on different security related topics.
