A Scheme of Schemes—Challenges and Opportunities for CSA Schemes (B22b)
CSA is widely applauded for providing a legal framework to harmonize cybersecurity certification throughout Europe, preventing fragmentation of cybersecurity certificates. But CSA should not only focus on legal problems, but also address the technical security issues of today and tomorrow. The rush towards new certification schemes may create overlap or competition between schemes, be insufficient to address new technologies, and may be incompatible with schemes outside of Europe. The talk will identify some of the technical issues and opportunities with multiple schemes addressing similar technologies and suggest a future approach of international cooperation as well as the integration of new technologies such as AI, autonomous driving, etc. into a common technical framework under the CSA.
