The Cyber Resilience Act will set out product security requirements for Europe, covering a wide range of products from software to industrial production lines. The law is designed as a CE Regulation, i.e., product law under the New Legislative Framework. This sensible approach nevertheless raises questions about product conformity, market access, and market surveillance. Using home appliances as an example, the speaker will shed some light on how a consumer product manufacturer is trying to cope with this new world of cybersecurity product requirements.
