Cyber for AI and AI for Cyber (M01b)
Recent advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies bring great opportunities to organizations but also introduce new risks and impacts that need to be managed in cybersecurity. NIST is developing a profile of the widely used Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) tailored for AI. The NIST CSF helps organizations understand, assess, prioritize, and communicate cybersecurity efforts. This AI-specific profile identifies impacts, implications, and resources for organizations adopting AI for business purposes, defending against AI-enabled cyber threats, and leveraging AI to support cyber defense actions. The profile also highlights relationships to other NIST frameworks, including the Privacy Framework and AI RMF.
