Improving CRA Standardisation: Lessons Learned From TIC Council’s RED Delegated Act Hackathon (R12b)

TIC Council, the international association representing CABs, hosted a new cybersecurity hackathon to test against the standards of the RED Delegated Act. This practical exercise provided valuable feedback and real-world case illustrations of the applicability of the EN 18031 series. Since the RED-DA and CRA share similar scope and objectives, these lessons learned can contribute meaningfully to the ongoing CRA standardisation process. In addition, from a policy perspective, the speakers could explore how the Digital Omnibus (expected in Q4 2025) may impact the current Cybersecurity Act revision and any implications for the CRA, such as a potential stop-the-clock mechanism.
