Meeting the Coming IoT Security Regulation with a Robust and Certified Silicon Root-of-Trust (I21b)

With the number of IoT devices increasing at a rapid rate, some new challenges are raised from the security perspective. A recent study estimates that around 75 billion connected devices will be deployed by 2035. From consumers devices to industrial applications, they all carry different security risks & threats. In fact, the direct consequence or rising connectivity is the development of sophisticated security attacks that can put at risk critical services including health care, utility delivery next to user sensitive & personal data. This talk will review the response to these threats with tailored security features implemented in microcontrollers next to their technical evaluation through the GlobalPlatform SESIP and PSA Certified security certifications standards. The objective being to deliver a proven and robust Root-of-Trust to device makers, easing their own product certification against coming IoT security regulations in Europe, America and Asia.
