Andreas Schmitt

Andreas Schmitt joined Zurich Insurance Group in September 2022 from Munich Re, where he successfully built strong cyber capabilities as the Head of Cyber (Asia) from Greenfield to market leadership. In his current role as Global Cyber Underwriting Manager, Andreas collaborates closely with Zurich’s country offices worldwide to ensure a consistent and enhanced approach to cyber underwriting. His focus areas include strategy, risk appetite (underwriting/accumulation) and business development. Andreas has more than 30 years of underwriting experience, having spent his entire career in insurance and reinsurance. Throughout his career, he has worked with and led diverse teams across all continents.
