Dr. Igor Furgel

Igor Furgel is head of the certification body of Deutsche Telekom Security that is accredited for performing conformity assessments and issuing conformity certificates according to eIDAS and to ETSI norms on Electronic Signatures and Infrastructures (EN 319 4xx/5xx series).

He represents Germany in Working Group IV (Electronic Trade) of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL).

He is official expert of the United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (UN/CEFACT) and member of different committees.

Igor Furgel has contributed as co-author to the development of Common Criteria evaluation methodology and performs the official training on Common Criteria security evaluation.

He is author of a monograph and (co-)author of more than 70 publications and multi-author books; the majority of them can be found by search engines.
Igor Furgel is co-author of the Model Law on the Use and Cross-border Recognition of Identity Management and Trust Services.
