Biography
Eddy Thésée, Vice President Digital & Cyber Platform at Alstom, brings 25 years of railway industry experience with a background in mathematics, telecommunications, and information technology.
Prior to joining Alstom, Eddy worked in consulting companies implementing mathematical algorithms for the prediction of stock market prices and the conduct of oil drilling.
He joined Alstom in 1999 to support activities related to “year 2000” mitigation. After several positions in IT for Alstom global operations and end-user support, Signalling, Turnkey & Infrastructure, and Asia Pacific, he has been in charge of Processes, Methods, and tools for Signalling and Digital Mobility.
Before being appointed VP Digital & Cyber Platform at Alstom in April 2024, Eddy was responsible for defining the cybersecurity strategy for products and solutions across Alstom’s portfolio, executing cybersecurity activities in projects and new products, and developing the cybersecurity standalone business, allowing Alstom to provide services and solutions to meet
the growing demand in the railway market.
Eddy has a strong background in IT built from his leading positions in information system management. He has been responsible for change management and transformation projects in ERP deployment, system engineering (requirement and configuration management), software development, and operating systems development. He is passionate about hacking and new technologies.
Eddy is a communicative and energetic leader with international exposure, who values teamwork, commitment, and consistency as part of his management style.
Eddy studied Mathematics, Telecommunications, Information Technologies, and Psychology at the University Renee Descartes in Paris and holds master’s degrees in these disciplines. He lives in Paris, France, with his daughter.
