Lisa Rooij
Biography
Lisa is a first-year PhD Researcher on the Regulation and governance of patching security at Tilburg Law School, Tilburg Institute for Law, Technology and Society (TILT), working alongside Lokke Moerel. As part of this research, Lisa investigates the developing EU legal framework and regulatory governance mechanisms on cyber security and patching. Lisa’s research is part of the NWO-funded THESEUS project, which consists of an interdisciplinary team of 20 multi-disciplinary researchers and external stakeholders such as Philips and KLM, aimed at changing the risk of patching for organisations by developing interdisciplinary breakthroughs at three interdependent levels of systems, enterprises and governance. Lisa’s research combines her legal background with practical cybersecurity perspectives to ultimately determine the level of regulatory intervention desirable and deliver concrete legislative recommendations to incentivise patching.
