Maika Föhrenbach

Maika Föhrenbach is Team Leader within the cybersecurity unit at DG CONNECT in the European Commission, where she oversees certification efforts and works on the implementation of the Cyber Resilience Act. With a keen focus on international collaboration, Maika also plays a pivotal role in the EU-US cybersecurity dialogue, fostering strategic partnerships to tackle global cyber threats effectively. Over the past two years, Maika worked on elaboration and negotiations of the Cyber Resilience Act. Before that, Maika enriched her expertise in cloud policies and certification at DG CONNECT. Prior to joining the European Commission, she worked within various European trade associations in Brussels, with a particular emphasis on the digital sector.

She is Franco-German with a solid academic foundation in political sciences and EU studies from institutions such as the College of Europe and Sciences Po Lille.
