Sylvain Bonfardin

Sylvain Bonfardin is the Security Certification Lead at Qualcomm, driving Common Criteria, FIPS 140‑3, SESIP and EMVCo certifications Unit across Snapdragon platforms. He also represents Qualcomm at ISCI. With over 25 years of international experience in information and microchip security, he began his IT security career in 1999 at the dawn of internet‑based secure payment technologies, contributing to early secured payment gateway design.

He previously led major certification programs in different multinational security companies and held key roles in high‑assurance evaluation and security consulting across Europe and Asia. Sylvain graduated from ISIMA, a French Grande École of engineering. His expertise covers Common Criteria, FIPS, IoT security, EMVCo, OCP Safe, SESIP and RED certifications.
